GL offline more than 2 months? - Guild Wars Forums

I was banned more than 2 months and ingame it states that I have been offline 2 months now.

But I am still guildleader and normally after 2 months the GL gets demoted to officer.

Is it not the case when people get banned?

I think after the guild leader has been offline for 2 months the most active officer is promoted to guild leader by the game. Even banned accounts lose control of there guilds if they have members, your guild must be inactive.

I'm guessing whoever got promoted was nice enough to promote you back to officer.

Check the status tab on the guildscreen, domaspiragas might be on to something.

Despite what wiki/Arena.Net says, the wait time is actually longer than 2 months.

When I was permbanned, I had to wait 2 months and 13 days before it kicked out my old-main and put a new leader into its place. I don't know why the time is longer than 2 months, but it is. Just give it time. It 'should' promote someone soon if it has been 2 months now.

yep sadly this feature shouldnt even be needed but you know w/e.

and yes ive had that happen where one of my gl's quit the game and after id say almost 3 months i got promoted gl.. i just dissolved the guild b/c there was no point in me running it xD.

2 months is the time for which my buddies account got demoted from leader to officer, and which ever officer has seniority gets promoted to Leader. That is the way it works. I even went as far to contact support to get it to happen faster, then they say that they have no control over that, the games does it automatically.

My guess is that once a month Guild Wars checks all of the guilds and demotes guild leaders as necessary. Like, the test could be done every month on the 15th. Or something like that.
